There are flower shops… And then there are places that remind you that some neighborhoods still have a heartbeat. I was on my way to visit Joann, a 94-year-old friend of my mother-in-law’s who has lived in the Santa Monica neighborhood for more than fifty years. I’d never met her before. I wanted to bring flowers, but I had no idea what she liked. Roses? Lilies? Wildflowers? I was completely guessing. So I wandered into Fleurs Du Jour hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Instead, I met Edward. He asked who the flowers were for, and I explained that I was visiting my mother-in-law’s friend, Joann. I told him she was 94, had lived in the neighborhood forever, and that I had never met her. Before I could say another word, he smiled. “I know exactly who you’re talking about.” Not only did he know Joann, he immediately told me how to find her apartment. I remember thinking, How wonderful is that? In a city as enormous as Los Angeles, I had somehow wandered into a flower shop owned by someone who knew the very person I was trying to surprise. I needed to find a great in person flower shop to get a bouquet for my wife who was in surgery. After getting tricked by a couple of places in Santa Monica that were ‘virtual’ shops - I was so fortunate to find Fleurs Du Jour. I explained how important the occasion was to the owner, Edward - and he put together the most gorgeous arrangement ! My wife was blown away and it lifted her spirits. The best part was he focuses on having very fresh flowers - so it lasted us a week - we had travelled into town and we even took it back home as it was still so vibrant. I give my highest recommendation here - he will not disappoint !

The most beautiful arrangements I’ve ever received. Two years in a row I’ve received on my birthday. They bring me so much joy. You can tell the artistry and high quality that comes from this place. I love looking at all the unique and different types of flowers and colors in the arrangement. Also - the customer service is amazing!! They’re so friendly on the phone and accommodating. Delivery is a breeze to arrange. Highly highly recommend.

The arrangement was goregous! I got to see it in person since I picked it up. It was boxed securely and carried right out to my car, what service! The recipient was delighted and kept thanking me. I would happily use Fleurs du Jour again!
